Necessities for Your Vacation Home

Vacation Home Necessities

Vacation Home Necessities

While we dream to have an absolutely amazing vacation home, we forget about the basic vacation home necessities that are a MUST have. You may have thought of building a reclusive vacation home that has a huge library stocked with books from the floor to the ceiling. But did you know that you will need a kettle much more than you will need books of different genre.
Let’s just keep the kettle at the end of our list for now and go through this compilation of things that you must have in your vacation home:

Toilet Supplies

It goes without saying that every home has at least one separate bathroom, and most of the recent constructions have more than one. You must make sure that your bathroom is supplied with all the necessary toiletries and have a fresh stock in store. These would include;
• Body towels
• Face towels
• Hand towels
• Soaps
• Shampoo and conditioner
• Toilet paper
• Shower mat
• Shower cap
• Loofah
Additionally, it’s always good to have some disposable razors, feminine sanitary products, and your regular beauty products like face scrubs, body lotion, etc. too. Don’t forget the trashcans too!

Bedroom Necessities

Have a very comfortable bedding setup as it’s your vacation home after all! A nice recliner or couch will help you get more comfortable as well as improving the overall look of your bedroom. If you don’t have a walk-in closet, make sure you place a chest of drawers. Having a full length mirror will not only be a nice interior accessory, but will also enhance your room’s look, making it appear more spacious.
Similarly, have suitable furnishing in other rooms too. For instance, a dining table with enough seats to host a nice dinner will be needed in the dining room. You may also want to have small coffee tables and comfortable couches in the living room.

Kitchen Supplies

You will need to maintain a well-stocked kitchen too. Ideally, you should keep two sets of dishes and cutlery; bowls, plates, forks, knives, spoons, and cups. You may not host so many guests at one time but having an extra set of dishes will spare you the trouble of doing dishes right after every use.
Glassware will be a must too. You cannot serve wine in a disposable cup if you are planning to have a classic romantic candlelight dinner with your significant other at your lake house, can you?
Furthermore, you will need utensils too, and a kettle as well!
It all depends on your preference and what kind of a place you are furnishing. If you are a minimalist and want to buy a small apartment for a vacation home, you might want to stick to the rule of less is more. However, if you are looking to furnish a villa by the beachfront, you might want to follow a classic and elegant style.
